This portrait series was inspired by a young woman in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. She was walking around the city in a simple white tee and jeans, but she was so poised and striking! I noticed her both in the lower city and again, later in the upper city ~ If you've never been, there are two levels in Salvador and a huge public urban elevator called
'Lacerda' that moves people between the upper and lower cities.
